Ashton Leisure Park

Project description

Two different finishes of high performance architectural masonry from Forticrete have been specified for a 10,500 sq. ft. three-unit addition to Ashton Leisure Park, a restaurant and entertainment complex, just west of Aston –under-Lyne in Tameside.

The new single-storey addition at Ashton Leisure Park, owned by Legal & General Property, was designed as a shell space subdivided to accommodate three independent restaurants. To complement the large expanses of glazing across the unit’s external envelope, contractor PDR Construction and architects for the project, Awake Architects specified Forticrete’s Shot-blasted architectural masonry in Ivory and a contrasting horizontal accent band utilising Forticrete Splitface blocks in Pewter.

Offering a wide selection of decorative concrete facing blocks, Forticrete's Architectural Masonry range is an aesthetically effective alternative to the internal or the external leaf of a cavity construction, which creates clean, maintenance free surfaces with either bold uniformity or a variety of colour and bond patterns to brighten even the most functional of environments.
