National Sales Manager
Kevin is in his 18th year with Forticrete, having joined in 2001 within a customer service role for the roofing team after completing his A levels at school. He soon realised his passion lied in Sales and when an opportunity arose within the Northern Homes Counties region for the roofing team he took on a trainee Area Sales Manager role whilst completing a Building Studies Diploma at College over the next couple of years, leading to becoming the Area Sales Manager for this region.
Whilst becoming an Area Sales Manager for the roofing team Kevin took on a new challenge, which was becoming a dual products Area Sales Manager responsible for the full portfolio of Forticrete concrete products in the Northern Homes Counties and London selling Concrete Roofing, Walling, Cast Stone and Masonry. This was a marked step change within the experience level gained because of the larger customer base as well as each product has different routes to market and the procurement process would tend to vary from customer to customer and project to project.
Kevin built up strong working relationships across his territories for over 10 years and then stepped up to Regional Sales Manager for the Southern sales team in 2015. He brought in exemplary product and customer knowledge across the wider group to help continue with the strategic growth plans across the business.
Recently Kevin was an influential member of the commercial team in the successful launch of the New Forticrete Metric roof tile range (SL8 and PAN8), which are now established and well known roof tiles in the UK market. Kevin’s current role of National Sales Manager, responsible for Forticrete Stone (Walling and Cast Stone) sees him expanding his focus and using his valuable knowledge and leadership skills to concentrate on this area of the business.
‘I have built a strong career within Forticrete; having joined the business when I was just 18. Forticrete has allowed me to develop my career either by providing on the job training or study base courses to gain the skill sets to succeed. Working across different departments giving me variation in my job roles (no one day is the same), I have built up my understanding and knowledge of the industry so that I have a thorough understanding of our customers wants and needs’.
