Newlite (Medium Dense)
MULTI-PURPOSE MEDIUM DENSITY MASONRY BLOCKS

Forticrete Newlite concrete blocks are manufactured in
accordance with BS EN 771-3:2003. Newlite blocks are manufactured
in a finish suitable for plastering but can be supplied with a
texture suitable for painting on request.
Newlite blocks are multi-purpose building blocks available in an
open texture, suitable for plaster or render, or with a tighter
texture, suitable for painting. They are suitable for use in beam
and block flooring and below dpc, providing that they are solid and
have a minimum compressive strength of 7.3N/mm².
They provide excellent sound insulation, making them the ideal
solution for party walls, and have excellent thermal
characteristics, keeping cavity insulation requirements to a
minimum while allowing the use of standard plastering techniques
and light/medium fixings. Further details on the use of Newlite in
order to meet the requirements of Part L can be found in the
'
Meeting the Needs' document.
