Astra-Glaze-SW®

GLAZED STRUCTURAL MASONRY THAT IS BRIGHT AND HYGIENIC

(l to r) Charter School Dulwich, Pitt Street Sheffield, Durham University

Astra-Glaze-SW is the clean, bright, simple and effective solution for creating broad areas of glazed walling without the need for tiling. With Astra-Glaze-SW glazed walling you can create load-bearing or non-load-bearing walls with a strikingly beautiful finish saving time, money and eliminating the risk of delamination.

Astra-Glaze-SW units are medium density concrete blocks that have a thermosetting glazing compound permanently moulded to one or more of their faces. The glazed facings are moulded individually, assuring
dimensional uniformity regardless of minor variations in the block. When cured and heat-treated in kilns, the glazing compound becomes an integral part of the unit.

Advanced manufacturing processes are used to provide a permanent, impervious, satin glazed finish with exceptional resistance to staining, abrasion, impact and chemicals.

A Lasting Solution

Astra glaze

Astra-Glaze units are outstandingly colourfast and the satin finish will last the lifetime of your building, eliminating the need to repaint or refinish and ensuring that it looks as good over time as you
originally intended. Graffiti, dirt, grime and grease can be removed easily and Astra-Glaze is just as resistant to extremes of weather, with built-in ductility to negate the possibility of cracking or crazing in adverse conditions.

With a broad variety of components to co-ordinate with standard 400 x 200mm modules or the option of a 450 x 225mm co-ordinating range, and a vast range of standard colours from which to choose, plus the ability to specify your own shades and hues for larger projects, Astra Glaze offers the ultimate in design flexibility.
