Hardrow® Duets
Hardrow Duets offer virtually the same architectural properties as natural stone or slate. Extremely durable, they also mellow with age, and can be laid in either random widths or diminishing courses for an authentic traditional appearance.
Hardrow Duets' ability to replicate the appeal of naturally weathered stone or slate enables any building to blend into its surroundings, creating an established appearance. Whether in the depths of the countryside or in the heart of the inner city, Duets will stand out by blending in.
Designing with Hardrow Slates is simply a pleasure. The slates are available in a variety of square and rectangular sizes for both roofing and vertical cladding. The sizes range from 457mm x 305mm (min pitch 25º) right up to the imposing 610mm x 457mm which can be laid confidently at pitches as low as 17.5º, creating a bold appearance.
There's a wide range of detailing components which are hand crafted on wooden formers to blend in perfectly with each of the 10 Duets colours. Duo-pitch ridges, mono-pitch ridges, stop-end ridges, hip slates, valley slates and mansards are allavailable as is a range of ornamental slates in designs such as 'clipped corner','beavertail' and 'arrowhead' to create striking detailing and features on both pitched roofing and vertical cladding.

GUARANTEE:
The colour of Hardrow Slates will change with natural weathering
over the years but the integrity of the slates carries a 30 year
guarantee, from date of supply, subject to the company's normal
terms.
Forticrete Roofing Products' policy is one of continuous
improvement and the Company reserves the right to change
specifications and designs at any time without notice. The colours
reproduced within this website are as close as the photographic
processes will allow and, where an exact colour match is
critical, you are advised to view actual tile samples. Hardrow Slates
are branded with an 'H' stamp on the products.
For pitches below 40° it is possible to hang the slates, depending on conditions, but advice should be sought from the Forticrete Technical Department on 0800 262136.
Above 40° all slates should be nailed into the batten with 2 x 40mm x 3.35mm aluminium nails (40mm x 4mm for 24 x 18 slates). The nail hole diameters are approximately 5mm with the nail holes being approximately 50mm down from the heads of the slates and 50-100mm in from the side edges.
