Hardrow® Duets™ Roof Slate

A COST EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE TO NATURAL STONE SLATES

Luxury beach development by Barratt homes, at Honeycombe Chine, Boscombe. Five duet colours were used on this development to provide interest and individuality.

Hardrow® Duets^TM Roof Slates are suitable for use in regions where a natural stone slate appearance is required. Our concrete roof slates combine two subtle blends of colour on each tile to provide 10 regional effects.

Hardrow® Duets^TM slates are extremely durable and mellow with age. They are suitable for use on contemporary or conservation projects, new builds and renovations. The slates are manufactured with a slight camber and variation in dimensional tolerance. This adds to the product's charm when laid.

Purpose Made Slates

Hardrow Duet fittings in Twilight installed into a stunning turret roof to provide a seamless appearance.

We provide a range of purpose made slates. These are manufactured from the slate material to provided a seamless roof finish. Our specialist slates will suit all angles and roof pitches and:-

reduce the use of mortar bedding and potential mortar failure
reduce the risk of falling tiles and scaffolding costs
eliminate the need for lead work and maintenance in valley areas

Air Vent Ridge Terminal

For pitches below 40° it is possible to hang the slates, depending on conditions, but advice should be sought from the Forticrete Technical Department on 0800 262136.

Above 40° all slates should be nailed into the batten with 2 x 40mm x 3.35mm aluminium nails (40mm x 4mm for 24 x 18 slates). The nail hole diameters are approximately 5mm with the nail holes being approximately 50mm down from the heads of the slates and 50-100mm in from the side edges.
