Forticrete masonry features in new Pier 6 at Gatwick Airport
The newly completed Pier 6 at Gatwick Airport features 400m² of Florentine Ivory masonry.
Since its completion the pier has won the Quality in Construction Award 2006 for its innovative design of being built above the aircraft rather than around them. The main advantage is that aircraft save on fuel by cutting down the taxiing time.
