Plain Tile Appeal at a Lower Cost
The Forticrete Gemini Tile is often the preferred choice of
Local Authorities undertaking re-roofing schemes for the Decent
Homes programme.
Forticrete's Gemini maintains the appearance of a
traditional plain tiled roof, thereby allowing the
original architectural style to be retained.
When compared with Concrete Plain tiles, the amount of
CO2 produced in manufacturing the latest Forticrete
Gemini tile, factoring in the difference in weight (75kg/m² v
45kg/m²) and quantity of tiles on the roof (60/m² v
16.3/m²), produced results - 40% less - which provided a
clear direction for the company.
That's why, as part of our commitment to the Built
Environment, Forticrete is moving away from plain tiles
in favour of Gemini and so should you - it only makes
ecological and economic sense.
