An alternative to shuttered concrete
Contractor Newmanor Developments were looking for a cost effective alternative to shuttered concrete for their current development at Kenyon Street in Birmingham.
Consulting Engineers, Peter Brett Associates of Reading, contacted Forticrete with a view to using Stepoc for this 4 storey mixed use development.
The internal load bearing walls were designed and constructed from 325 stepoc while Forticrete's 140mm hollow masonry was used for the external walls. The outside of the building will eventually be finished with the Gebrik cladding system.
