Project Description
This £40million scheme comprised the construction of an indoor ski centre consisting of real snow slope, nursery slope, 12 screen cinema, 26 lane bowling alley, family entertainment centre, nightclub and bar, restaurant and takeaways.
The project utilised Forticrete's Hi-Light masonry which has allowed Laing O'Rourke, the main contractor, the opportunity of promoting this project as an example of Resource efficiency. Using the Hi-Light saved 849m³ of raw material, due to the cellular nature of the product, this equated to a £250,000 and 35 low-load lorry movements.
