Project Description
Forticrete's new colour additions to its successful Gemini range, Sunrise Blend
and Mixed Russet have already proved a big hit with one of the
UK's largest housebuilders.
Bellway Homes specified Forticrete's Gemini roof tile in bothnew
colours at a new development, Langford View, Bedfordshire.
The development comprises 58 units, featuring a combination of
2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes.
The planning office stipulated that due to the surrounding area,
aesthetics were of utmost importance in the design process, so a
roof tile that would suit the vernacular architecture was required.
At the planning stage the recommended roof tile to was
clay plain, however the planners were persuaded to change
their mind after seeing
that the new Gemini blended colours mirrored the look of a clay
tile so closely.
This meant that Bellway Homes were able to meet the planning
requirements by achieving the desired aesthetics, through the use
of a more cost-effective product.
