Project Description
This development for David Wilson Homes is on the
site of an old disused mill, in a sensitive location where the
choice of building materials needed careful consideration. As most
of the buildings in the area are of natural stone, with stone slate
roofs, the planning authority, Kirklees Council, were specific
about what materials were allowable so the development would blend
in with the existing properties.
After rejecting a number of products, the Forticrete Hardrow Slate in Twilight was preferred for it's natural appearence. David Wilson Homes also recognise the quality of Forticrete cast stone, and have used it throughout this devlopment.
