Project Description
Cardinal Hume is a Voluntary Aided Catholic
Comprehensive School providing for the educational needs of 11-19
year old students from East Gateshead.
The children and staff of Cardinal Hume Catholic School
(formerly St Edmund Campion) are housed in a £24 million state of
the art school built on a new greenfield site featuring
approximately 2000m² of Forticrete Textured masonry the
majority of which is the Twinbloc version
The school is designed to accommodate 1200 students. The new school
is a landmark building 'jam packed' with the latest available
technology.
Students, staff and the community benefit from a purpose built bespoke design that has the education, welfare and comfort of its primary users (the children and staff) at its core.
