Project Description:
This £3 million scheme to replace the existing clubhouse with a new building of just over 2000m2 was completed in 2004 and features Forticrete's Textured and Splitface Architectural Masonry. The 3 storey building features large and small radius walls using both full and half blocks to excellent effect.
The University club provides sporting, social and hospitality facilities for all staff, post-graduates, alumni and retired staff of the university and associated institutions.
The new crescent-shaped club building in Mansfield Road brings together all club activities under one roof and was officially opened by the Vice Chancellor on June 9th 2004.
