Project Decsription
This £5million scheme comprises of new build, refurbishment and adaptation for performing arts, CDT, music, art and drama, with an assembly hall seating 250-300 people.
The existing CDT area was re-organised to create; offices, staff base, exhibition space, workshops, CAD/CAM area, CDT and IT teaching spaces.
Music, Drama & Art were reorganised to create new practice rooms, a large music technical classroom and a dance/music studio at ground floor level.
A new performing space can be readily separated for after hours or community space incorporating; bleacher style retractable seating, drama practical workshop and drama classroom. Linked to the dance studio the college reception space was remodelled providing a direct link to the catering area and an exhibition space for art, music and drama.
All new works comply with latest energy and classroom environmental standards to promote a safe, economic, sustainable solution.
The project features Forticrete's Hallmark Diamond coloured masonry in both a Textured and Polished finish. The external envelope features the textured masonry and the polished masonry is used in various internal areas of the building.
