Project Description:
A close working relationahip with both the architect, Ming Chung of SGP and Richard Flynn of Taylor Maxwell resulted in the new £4.2 million Music School building for Loughborough Endowed Schools in Leicestershire.
Forticrete Textured masonry was used both internally and externally on the project with feature radius walls constructed from standard units.
The building itself was designed to accommodate the musical needs of three schools. The organisational challenges alone made this move by the Governors and Heads a brave one. This visionary approach has lead to the construction of a beautiful environment, full of natural light and bright refreshing airiness, yet housing over 100 PCs and the full range of technological armoury we have come to expect from the world of music education today
